The Northwest Railway Museum immerses visitors in the excitement of a working railroad while they learn the role railroads played in the development and settlement of Washington State and its surrounding areas. The Museum has a large and comprehensive collection, which makes it a must-visit for those interested in this region's history.  

The Railway History Campus houses the Train Shed Exhibit Hall which includes exhibits on the impact of trains on Washington State, the role of Japanese railroad workers, and National Landmark artifacts like Chapel Car 5: Messenger of Peace. The Train Shed Exhibit Hall has something for learners of all ages with scavenger hunts, children exhibit labels, and interactive spaces. The Historic Snoqualmie Depot location is always free to visit and explore seven days a week. 

This museum offers 4 passes each day. Each pass admits up to 2 adults and 2 youths. 

Pass Details 

  • Pass admits up to 2 adults and 2 youths ages 2-17  

  • Children under the age of 2 are admitted for free (no pass required)  

  • General admission only. Special events and weekly train rides (Ride the Rails) are not included.
